A Little Randomness:
  • Today is Kid Inventors' Day!  Just because children possess less knowledge of how the world works, that doesn’t mean they can’t have ideas for practical and useful inventions. In fact, many people believe that children are capable of being particularly creative for the simple reason that they don’t yet know how difficult many things are, and are therefore able to imagine much more than adults. In fact, there are plenty of things we enjoy on an everyday basis that were invented by children or teenagers. And if their creativity doesn’t deserve recognition, what does? Kid Inventors’ Day is the day we celebrate all the kids who dared to defy the world and come up with better solutions than all of the adults before them.

  • Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up."    - Pablo Picasso

A Little Randomness:
  • Today is International Hot and Spicy Foods Day!  For one red-hot day a year, the world’s chili heads, heat-seekers and extreme eaters can take their passion to extremes. International Hot and Spicy Foods Day sparks a wildfire of events, from habanero-eating challenges to fancy-dress contests and cook-offs of popular recipes. Among serious aficionados, it also re-kindles the great debate: which chili pepper tops the official Scoville heat scale? There’s no denying the daredevil nature of some of the celebrations.  However, people who like a meal to tingle their taste buds, not make  their eyes water, shouldn’t feel left out. Enjoying a touch of heat in  our cooking is a worldwide human trait, so what better day to invite  your family and friends to discover a different cuisine? Thai, Indian,  Creole and Caribbean dishes are all famous for their blends of aromatic  ingredients, but many cultures boast their own favorites. After all,  variety is truly the spice of life…

A Little Randomness:
  • Today is Organize Your Home Day!  We all find it difficult to keep our homes tidy and organized, and  its oh so easy to keep putting off tasks that always seem to require too  much effort and time than we care to dedicate to them.  Today is the perfect chance to quit making excuses for one day, get down to business and get your home back into shape!  Put everything else aside for a few hours and get to task on all those little niggling things and DIY jobs that have been begging to be finished for months now. Get your friends and family involved and help each other out to get everything done quicker and make the day more fun. You will be surprised how much you can get done, and how much difference giving your home a little TLC can make to your life.

A Little Randomness:
  • Today is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day!

Have you ever wanted to be a police officer as a kid? In today’s day and age, police officers have been getting a bad reputation in the United States due to reports of incidents with police officers and unfair treatment. Despite these tensions, there is a day dedicated to the lives of police officers and the services they provide.  That day is called Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, and it is all about saying thank you to those who have one of the toughest positions in the country. Whether you are a police officer, have family members who are police officers, or have no clue what that’s like, this holiday is all about bringing light into a dark perspective of the police force.

A Little Randomness:
  • Today is Bubble Bath Day!  That first bath, bubbles rising up around us in a scent that would  soon become associated with warmth, comfort, and safety. It started with  the love of a mother’s hands, and in time we began to pamper ourselves. Rich bubbles, beautiful candles, quiet music, and a little time to  ourselves have all been the hallmark of the bubble bath. Bubble bath Day  reminds us of these little luxuries, and to take time out of our day to  treat ourselves to a little special TLC.
